We work on making future electric power systems sustainable, secure, and resilient. Our research brings together mathematical tools from the areas of numerical analysis and optimization, with high performance computational tools and machine learning techniques, to tackle modern power system problems.

[17/04/26] Our lab participated in CRESROADS 2026 where Petros Aristidou and Savvas Panagi presented a poster on the TRAISIM project.
[17/04/26] Two conference papers accepted at PSCC 2026: Simplified Simulation of Digital Controllers in Power System Dynamic Studies by Mehran Jafari and Towards an Open-Source Real-Time Operator-Training Platform by Savvas Panagi.
[27/01/26] New journal paper on Coordinated curtailment of uncontrollable distributed energy resources in isolated power systems by Phivos Therapontos published in Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks.
[17/12/25] New journal paper on Increasing the RES Hosting Capacity of the Cyprus Distribution System Focusing on Export Limitation Schemes by Phivos Therapontos published in IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution.
[15/09/25] Two conference papers were presented at ISGT 2025 Malta by our lab: Safe Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning Volt-Var Optimization in Active Distribution Networks by Mohammad Hashemnezhad and Impact of Uncontrolled Electric Vehicle Charging on Unbalanced Suburban Low-Voltage Networks by Savvas Panagi.
